Organized by the All Assam Chess Association (AACA), the Assam Chess Premier League (ACPL) 2025–26 was promoted as a “game-changing” team-based tournament in the region. The event, widely covered on assamchesslive.blogspot.com, featured eight franchise teams comprising titled and rated players, all selected through a dynamic player auction system.
According to official ACPL highlights, eight teams were formed during the auction, with a total prize pool of ₹5,00,000. The final rosters, including players and their auction bid prices, were revealed at the conclusion of the auction.
